Disco Era

For our next blogs we have to talk about if we could go back in the past what time period we go back to and why. Throughout history there have been many time periods that brought the people together. In the past there has been enjoyable time and times that were tough. There have been great depressions, Wars, disco periods, and women right movement. It is really hard to choose what time period I would want to go back to because each time period had its ups and downs. One period that caught my eye would defiantly have to be the disco era. I chose this era for many different reasons including it was a time full of fun and enjoyment among the people in society. I know that many people that lived through it enjoyed it and wish they could live through it again. I love the fact that the different types of dances came out during this time period. I know that my parents found that time period fun and have plenty of stories about it. I remember them saying how them and their friends went and danced. I remember them saying that people wore combs in their back pockets and used to go roller skating. Disco reached it peek in the mid 1970’s. Disco started to decline after July 1979 Disco Demolition Night in Chicago. This event showed an angry backlash at disco and as a result of this disco began to decline rapidly. Every year Buffalo, NY is the host of the “World’s Largest Disco”. This is an event where thousands of people get dressed up and go dance for the night.  After watching the news coverage about this disco I saw that many people were laughing and enjoying life. I couldn’t imagine living in prime disco era and all of the fun people had.

Emily Cole

For our next blog we got a random person that was part of the bulldog newspaper and we needed to interview them. We were each given a random person to ask questions about anything we wanted to ask. Some of the different types of questions people asked were, what your plans for are after high school, favorite movie, favorite food, and the list keeps on going.  The person I was given to interview was Emily Cole. Emily and I sat down for 20 minutes and we asked each other questions about our life’s. Some of the different questions I asked her dealt with things she likes and plans for the future. The first question I asked her was what does she like to do in her free time. She replied listen to music, watch television, hangout with her friends and read. The second question I asked her what sports she played. She currently does cheerleading. Another question I asked was what kind of music she listens to she said she likes Taylor Swift, Lil Wayne, Mac Miller, and Miranda Lambert. I also asked Emily what her greatest fears were and her reply was spiders and heights.  Emily’s favorite movies are Horrible Boss and Disturbia. After talking to her for a little while I asked her what her plans were for after high school and she said she wanted to go to either ECC or GCC for childhood education. Emily’s favorite T.V show is Glee. Her role model is her mother and her favorite subject in school is Government. Another interesting fact I learned about Emily is that her favorite color is light purple and her favorite food is Mac and Cheese. Well my thoughts about this blog were that I really enjoyed it because I got to meet someone that I had no idea about and learned a lot of interesting things.

Problem Fixer Klug

Our next blog we have to talk about is if we had the ability to change the world how would we do so. I know if I had the magical powers and the chance to change the world I would do it in a heartbeat. I know that there is many problems that are occuring right now in the world that I could fix. Millions of people are being affected by something in the world right now. Some things that I would change would be Bullying, Poverty, Wars, Cancer and different diseases. Millions of people loose there life becuase of these problems. First of all, I would end Bullying becuase it isnt right for other people to bully other people becuase they are "different". Recently Bullying has just been brought up in the news because a young boy committed sucide becuase he was being bullyied because he was gay. It isnt right for someone to be bullied because they are "different". Another topic I would change in the world would be poverty. I would want to change this becuase I know that there is many people dont have a shelter that they can live under. There is many people out there that loose there houses due to not having enough money or due to natural disasters. I would make sure that people are protected by a house or shelter. I know that i am blessed to have a house and parents that care. Another problem that millions are people are coming together to tackle are diseases like cancer. Many people are affected by cancer and different diseases and I know if it was fixed millions of lifes would be saved. There is so much effort that people are putting in to fix the problems in the the world. I know that the efforts of people. I know that with all of theese efforts that one problem will be fixed at a time.

Christmas Time

Well for our mext blog we were allowed to write about anything that we wanted. I figured that it is winter season and one thing that everyone looks forward to is Christmas. Lets be honest, I am pretty sure that everyone is excited on Christmas because of the joy that is spread from person to person. I think that many people love waking up in the morning to a christmas tree full of gifts. However, I am thankful for anything that I recieve because I know there are millions of kids and adults that dont get anything on Christmas Day. I realize that I was blessed to be able to recieve gifts. The reason I am writting this blog is to spread the real message behind Christmas. Many people today think that Christmas is all about waking up in the morning to a tree full of gifs however that is not the real message behind it. Christmas is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas should be more around our religon instead of recieve gifts.  I am thankful if I recieve any gifts becuase I know Christmas isnt about getting gifts. I really love this time of the year because I like driving down the road seeing all of the houses with lights on them. This time of the year is filled with many lights and decorations that really make it a sight to see. Another reason I love this time of the year is becuase it really brings my family closer together. Seeing all of my family is filled with many smiles and laughs and just catching up with the different news. I love seeing all of my little cousins running around telling each other what santa brought them. I am really thankful for everything that happens to me and my family.

My Plans

Well for this blog we are allowed to write about anything we would like. So I am going to write about my plans for after high school. Right now many of students high school is coming to a wrap and the real journey begins. I am confused on what I want to do after i graduate. I have a couple different colleges in mind and jobs I would like to take up. One of those optinions would be to go to ECC for either criminal justice or Building Trades. Another college that I would like to attended if ECC doesnt work out would be GCC. Both of my sisters went to GCC and they have a really nice school and the professors are really nice and try to make sure you do succedd. I would like to get either a building trade or criminal justices. When I turn 21 I plan on taken the civil service exam and hope to become a prison guard. I am really looking forward towards the day I gaduate becuase that is when the real adventure begins. I am a little nervos in what to expect when going to college. I am looking forward toward what school I decided to go to and visit that school. I would like to thank everyone that got me up to this point and I know they are the reason why I will succedd. first of all, I would like to thank my parents and sisters for giving me support all of theese years. They will be a huge reason why I do end up going to college. Some other people that I would like to take the time and thank would have to be my teachers. Without my teachers there would be no way I would have graduated. A couple teachers I would have to accept would be Mr. Currin and Mrs. Gramza.

favorite rappers

well for my next article we are allowed to talk about whatever we want. So i chose to do a topic that really khas meaning to me. One of my favorite things to do is listen to music. To me music is everything and without my life would be very boring.  I owe my life to music because it got me through tough times in my life. This next topic is going to be about one of my favorite artist/ rapper Wale. I started listening to Wale recently and I fell in love with his music.  Olubowale Victor Akintimehin was born on September 21, 1984 in Washington, D.C. I really like the fact that wale was came from Nigerian immigrants who moved to the United States 5 years earlier. Some of my favorite songs by Wale would have to be Mirrors, Shades, World tour, chillin, diary, and mama told me. Another one of my favorite rappers would have to be Sam Adams. Sammy adams was born August 14th, 1987. Some of my favorite songs to listen to are I hate college, coming up, and coast 2 coast. I started to listen to Sam adams when he first becoming famous. One of my favorite rappers out of all of them would have to be Big Sean. I really love the music that he writes and my favorite songs by him would have to be, High, Million dollars, wait for me, and My last. I really enjoy listening to Big Sean because he gets me in a better mood. Another Rapper that I really like and listen to is Wiz Khalifa. I really started liking Wiz Khalifa last cd. My favorite songs are Studio Lovin, no sleep, this plane, when im gone, and goodbye. All the rappers that I just listed really help me get through my day and I always enjoy listening to them.

One of our blogs was a choice blog so I decided I would talk about music. To me music is everything and gets me through the tough times. I love all different types of music. My favoirte band would have to be Brand New.  My favorite artist would have to be Drake, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Big Sean, and Wale. Over the summer one concert I went to was Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne came with Rick Ross, Far East Movement. I really enjoyed the concert and thought everyone performed really good. My favorite quote by Lil Wayne is "Lord, protect me from my friends I can take care of my enemies". Another one of my favorite rappers is Wiz Khalifa. My favorite Wiz quote is "You don't have to like me, im not a facebook status. Another one of my favorite rappers is Big Sean. Sean was born in Santa Monica, CA and relocated to the west side of Detroit, MI when he was 2 months old. My goal is to get to go and see Big Sean in concert. Another one of my favorite rappers that I listen to would be Wale. My favorite quote that Wale said is "life without dreamin is a life without meanin."  Without music my life would be very boring and I wouldnt know what to do. You can constistly find me with my headphones in listening to my ipod. Some of the different concerts I went to are Lil Wayne, Blink 182, Rick Ross, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan. Music always gets me through the toughest times in my life and without music my life would be very boring and I wouldnt know what to do. I owe my life to music and all of the artist because they really do help alot of people and fix many problems in society.

wishes

Many people are smart enough to know that wishes don't come true very often. However, if I had three wishes I would think it through what I wanted to wish for. First of all, I wish that I had alot of money. I wish this because if I had alot of money alot of problems would be solved. I could buy a nice house and car and not worry about the money. I would be able to donate some money to a worthy cause. I would be able to make a difference in this world if I had alot of money. Another wish I would wish is that cancer would find a cure. I wish this because millions of people loose their life to cancer. If cancer found a cure it would create way less problems that we face today. I wish this because if you ask anyone the chances of knowing someone that is some how affected by cancer is high. If I had three wishes I think I would aim at making the world a better place and help as many people as I can. I would do this because it would make me fell like a better person and I would fell good that I am helping millions of people solve their problems. My third and final wish would be to throw the biggest party the world has ever seen. I would have thousands of people and alot of celebrity preformances. I would host this party to celebrate all of the good and bad times that we face today. My wishes would be used to bring people together from all parts of the world and just celebrate what we made it through. I know that many wishes dont come true but if some did it would solve many problems in the world.

Sports-choice

Ever since I was little I remember watching and playing sports. My favorite sports are football, hockey, and basketball. I remember ever since I was little I went to different games. My favorite teams are the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and the New York Yankees. I remember going to all theese games with my dad and friends. The greatest game i ever went to would have to be the first outdoor hockey game in the United States. It was On Janurary 1st and was played at ralph wilson Stadium. I wont forget going there with my dad and being part of history. During the last playoff series I spent at least 500$ on Sabre tickets. I also love to go to Bills games with my friends and family. I love going to the game and tailgating before. Sports have been a huge impact on my life because I always be so competive. I remember I started playing hockey at the age of 4 and I haveldnt stopped yet. I started playing Football when I was in 8th grade. There is another thing that  i really enjoy and that is the NBA. I really enjoy playing pick up basketball with me friends. Most of the clothes that I wear usually deal with my favorite sport teams. Another thing that I really love to do is play NHL on xbox 360. I dont know what i would do with sports in my life. Most of my time is spent either playing or watching sports. My life would be very boring if i didnt play or watch sports. It gives me the ability to give everything i have in me and compete with different people. My life revolves around sports. There is nothing more in this life that i would rather do than watch and play sports. Sports have been a huge impact on my life.

Favorite Book

Well over the coarse of my life I have read some books that I really like. I usually don't like to read books but I love reading magizines like ESPN. Some of my favorite types of books to read would have to be funny, scary, and sports. In school we have read many books that I really loved or hated. One of my favorite books that I read was all about the life of NFL quarterback Tim Tebow. The Book was called Through My Eyes and was written by Tim Tebow. I really started to like Tim Tebow when he was a college superstar at Florida. I started to look into him and I saw that many people doubted him at the next level and said he would never make it as an NFL Quarterback. When Tim Tebow made it to the NFL he came out with this book so I knew I had to purchase it and read it. This book is my favorite out of all the books i read because it shows the high and low points of his lifetime. It also shows home much work he puts into his job. It is pretty much a story of tim Tebows life and it describes the hard work he did to become an Nfl Quarterback. The reason I really enjoyed reading this book is because I really enjoy the sport of football. I know how much hard work it takes to play the sport and I respect Tim Tebow because of all the work he did for the sport. While reading this book I found it hard to stop reading and usually just keep reading.  Another reason I love this book is because we learn that his mother was told by doctors to have an abortion but she didn't. If she would have had the abortion we wouldn't have this amazing quarterback.

Get Your Popcorn Ready Its Movie Time.

There is one thing that I really enjoy in life and that is watching movies. I really love to relax all night and turn on a movie. My favorite types of movies are scary, sport, and Funny. Over my lifetime I watched a ton of different types of movies and my favorite out of all would have to be funny. I really enjoy a good laugh at a funny sense during a movie. My top three favorite movies of all time would have to be Miracle, Hangover , and Friday Night Lights. First of all, I really enjoy the hockey movie Miracle becuase it shows the struggles of team USA and how they overcome great odds to beat Russia and win the gold medal. This movie is ranked in my top movies becuase I really enjoy hockey.  Another reason this movie is one of my favorites is because Kurt Russell who played Herb Brooks (coach) really fit the part well. This movie is based on the 1980 team who overcame many odds and beat the susperstars of Russia. The team won the game because of all the hard work. My next favorite movie is Friday Night Lights. I really enjoy this movie because I love football. It shows the hard works of a small Texas Football team. I love this movie becuase it happens in real life and is displayed in most High schools. Finally, my third favorite movie is The Hangover. When I watched this movie I was always laughing. This movie has so many funny parts. I really enjoy to watch movies  whenever I can. There is nothing more great than eating snack food while I watch my movies. I currently have netflex  so i can watch all the movies as I please. I would guess that I watch at keast 25 movies each year.

Thanksgiving

Every year my family comes together to celebrate the most important Holiday Thanksgiving. I believe it is important to be thankful and respect everything thats happens to you throughout the year. I am thankful to celebrate thanksgiving becuase I know I am blessed becuase I know there are people in the world that are less fortunate. To my family, Thanksgiving is a huge holiday becuse it is spent being with family that normally we would not see. My mom and dad are always getting ready for the dinner becuase we annually have a huge dinner. I really enjoy Thanksgiving becuase of all the good food that I eat. Every year I always eat way to much food and am always lazy the rest of the day. My family and friends always bring tons of food so we can eat alot. Every year we eat around 2:00 and then the rest of the day is spent talking and hanging out watching football. I am really blessed for all the food that we eat during Thanksgiving becuase i know that there is people in the world that wont get to eat anything that day. The different types of food that we have at our dinner is corn, mash potatoes, turkey, stuffin, and ham and lots more. There is always way to much food made and it is almost impossible to finish all of it. Another tradition we have is making all sorts of deserts. Thanksgiving is the one time in the year where i dont care what i eat becuase i am very lazy all day and usually just sit on the couch and watch football. I really dont care what food is on my plate I just eat. Thankgiving is celebrated annually and we will continue to celebrate it  annually. I am blessed to celebrate thanksgiving.

Favoirte Holiday

well, throughout the year there are many holidays that I really enjoy however there is one that I like the most. My favorite holiday would have to be christmas. One reason I really enjoy christmas is because it is during the winter season. I really enjoy winter because the weather is cold and it snows alot. I also love winter becuase I play hockey and winter is hockey season. I also love Christmas becuase I get to see family from all over that normally I would'nt see.  I like to talk to people that I normally do not get to see. Christmas in my time is always spent together. This is one time in the year when my family comes to celebrate another Christmas. Another reason I really enjoy Christmas is because of all the gifts you recieve. I love to see my family and friends smiling when they open a gift they recieve. I also like opening the gifts that I really wanted to get. Another reason christmas is my favorite holiday is because my family always has a christmas dinner. I love to pig out and just relax all day.  Christmas is the best holiday because I love driving down the street and seeing everyones house decorated. I also love going with my family to go cut down a christmas for my living room. It is a tradation that me and my family always decorate the house and the tree. Another reason why I love Christmas is because of all the christmas food and cookies that are made. I love coming home from school to cookies that are freshly made. Christmas is a time in my life when all of my family comes together and just enjoys life. To me christmas is the best time of the year and is always looked forward to.

Sports

In all of my 17 years of being alive I had things that I fell in love with. The thing that I love the most would have to be sports. I am currently a senior at Alden Central Schools. I played football for the school since 8^th grade.  I play wide receiver and my number is 84. Another sport that I really enjoy to play and watch would be hockey. I started playing hockey at the age of 4 years. I played for the Buffalo Regals since I began and I play forward. Even though I love playing these sports I also enjoy watching my favorite teams play. I love to watch the NFL and NHL. My favorite team is the Buffalo Sabres and the Buffalo Bills. I enjoy going to these games because they are fun to watch at Christmas day. I went to the game with my dad and we sat center ice 14 rows up.  Some of the memories I share with my family and friends deal with going to sporting events.  I really enjoy Sundays because all I do is hang out with my friends and watch football all day. I enjoy eating like a pig and not having any worries at all.  This past winter season I spent up to 500 dollars on the Buffalo Sabres playoff tickets. When I am watching sports or even playing I feel different and fell like that I am on top of the world. In my entire life I don’t think I would be able to go a day without watching or playing sports. Whenever I walk up in the morning the first thing I do is turn on the T.V and watch ESPN. Without sports my life would be very boring and would just drag along. To me sports is everything.

Mr. Currin

Throughout my life I faced many people that were a huge inspirtation to me. There is many different coaches and teachers I could pick however the one I could easliy relate to would be my football coach and english teacher Mr currin. The reason I picked him was becuase he impacted my life in many different ways. I remember siting in his class room for english 11 and remember all the jokes he would tell. What I learned the most from Mr. Currin was never stress the little stuff. Mr. Currin improved my reading and writting skills the most out of anyone because his class is never boring. He will always make the class interesting. There is another side of Mr. Currin that I see that many people dont get to see. I also have Mr. Currin as a football coach. During football season I always get to see Mr. Currin serious side while teaching the lineman different plays.  When I look back in 20 years I will remmeber Mr. currin because of all the memories of football and being in his class. Mr. Currin is one of the best teachers to get along with becuase of his personality. He really impacted my life by knowing that life is to short to stress the little things. I am really thankful that I got to have him as a teacher becuase before I had him I never did any homework and barely passed. Having him as a teacher made me work hard because of football and I know if i didnt do any work it would end up hurting my team. In the future I will look back and realize I am who I am becuase of the different teachers that impacted my life. I would like to take this time and personal thank Mr. Currin for all he has done for me.

Football: impact on my life

There is so much I could talk about theese past years but the one that impacted my life the most would be football. Ever since I was little all I remember was playing football with my dad. I would wake up and go outside and play catch. The sport of football have impacted my life and there is nothing other than football that could create such an impact on my life. I started playing football for my school during 8th grade. When I played modified I remember that I played tight end and defensive back. My JV years my number was 13 and I played WR and Free safety. There was one thing I always looked up towrds to and that was the varisty team. I remember being so excited when i was a junior because I always loved to watch the varisty games. My number for varisty is 84. Football had so many impacts on my life including that it brought me closer to my classmates. Going to all the practices and working hard really brought all of us together. When I look back and 20 years I will remember all of my fellow teamates because we all worked hard and fought through the pain together. Another reason football changed my life was by creating a second family that I know who will always have my back. I look up too all of my coaches and owe them everything. My coaches changed my life and impacted so that I will be a better person in the world. Without my coaches I dont know what I would do. Football is one of the few reason I live the way I do.  There isnt one day I go without thinking or playing football. Football will always be one of the greatest things I have in my life.  After my Football career has ended I will continue to show support for my team and will always remember the great moments me and my fellow teamates shared.

After High School

Well, After 12 years of hard work school is coming to an end very shortly. This time in a person's life is very stressful because they are forced to make decesions that will effect their whole life. Currently i am analazing my plans for the future. I currently would like to go to college either at GCC or ECC. I would like to study some sort of technology. I would like to work for National Fuel or Natioal Grid. If that doesnt work out my back up plan would be to join either the Airforce or Marines. I would like to be an Enginer in the Military. After High school i just want to live my life to the fullest and make it worth wild. I am going to save up alot of my money so i can spend money on what i want. I am going to live life like there is no is no tomorow. I think after high school life is going to fly by in the fast lane. After high school I will work hard to find a good job that pays well and also that has good benefits. Jobs i will be looking to persue a career in will be anything that deals with fixing things or installing new equipment. I also wouldnt mind working for a sports team. After high school i would love to attend to many sporting events as possible. I would also like to attend many concerts as possible. Another thing i look forward to after high school is meeting new people in the world. Also i would talk to people i didnt have enough time to talk to while i was in school. Well, the ending is starting to come up faster and faster each day and i just hope i will plan enough for the future and be ready as possible.

Favorite class

Well, school has been going smoothly so far. My favorite class so far is Home Maintance and repairs. I really enjoy this class because I know most of the stuff before even learning it. I don't have to stress the work in this class because it comes easy to me and I already practiced the stuff we do in class outside of class. Another thing I love about the class is that the projects we do are really basic and don't take a lot of skill. Also, we hardly have any tests but when we do our teacher really prepares us so we do the best we can. So far in my class we didnt have any homework. One of the many projects we did in the class is we took apart any object and attached the pieces to a board to show people all the parts. Another reason this is my class is because some of my friends are in it which makes class more fun. There is nothing really boring about this class because all of my friends like to have fun and make classes interesting. The thing I love the most about this class is the fact that you will actually use the things you learn in this class in the real world. You will be able to do things by yourself which will save you a ton of money. You will take the things in class and will treasure them when you have your own house or car.  Without this class I wouldnt know how to repair all the different types of enginges or be able to repair a motor. Before when I heard about this class I didn't want to take it because I thought I wouldn't like but then when this class started I found out I really enjoyed it.

Bullying

After reading the article, “Jamey Rodemeyer Suicide: Police Consider Criminal Bullying Charges” my view on bullying changed. I believe that bullying needs to stop. I fell that it isn’t right for someone to hate on another person for being themselves.  After reading this article I felt sorry for Jamey’s family and friends. I felt that the comments on Facebook were inappropriate and further punishment should happen to the people that said the comments on his wall. I think that Williamsville should take further action to prevent bullying.  This whole situation was an eye opener for many people. Many people don’t realize what they say will effect someone so much and even drive them to take their own life. I feel bad for people that get bullied for things that are not “cool” to others.  I can’t imagine what was going through Jamey’s head the whole time.  I feel really bad because school officials and his parents knew what he was going through however not enough action was taken. I believe after such a tragedy as this further training to prevent bullying need to be taken. I personal believe there are so many people to blame after this event however instead of focusing on that we need to focus all of our attention to prevent bullying. Many people don’t realize they are bullying people when they say things to others or on social networking websites.  I wish that everyone in the world would just stop bullying other people because they are “different”. People need to realize that everyone is a living thing and has feelings. I believe the news really put the whole situation out them by nonstop coverage of the whole situation. After many people read about the issue of bullying I would hope that they go tell someone if they are being bullied or no someone who is.

Atown 716

welcome to the town of Alden, New york. Home of  Kyle Klug. The one thing about Alden is the  restaurants. My favorite place to go to eat and watch sports is GDI'S. I always like going to this place because they owners are family friends. I also go to school with one of the owners kid. My favoirte to eat when i go to this resturant is chicken wings. I always love when i get home from a long day of school and my parents say we are going to GDI'S. My favoirte flavor is BBQ. What i like about the resturant is that they have a really nice set up.  I love how you can chose to eat outside if you wanted to. Another thing i really enjoy about this resturant is that the workers are very friendly and work very hard. Another feature i love about this resturant is the portion size of the meals.  Whatever meal you order you get plenty of food so you wont leave still hungry. When leaving the resturant i am always full and don't want to touch food for a year. Another feature i love about GDI'S is the cost of the food.  GDI'S makes the prices of their meals affordable for everyone to enjoy. I know that many people go to GDI'S on major sport events to watch their favorite teams play. On game days GDI gets very busy however the quality of the food is still very good and the waiting time is acceptable. another major feature i love about GDI'S is that the resturant is very clean and well maintaned. In the town of Alden, many people will agree with that GDI'S is the best place to eat. Out of every resturant in Alden my favorite place will always be GDI'S.

Schools lunch

Well, after being in school for 12 years I found out which school found was my favorite and food that i wouldnt eat for anything. During the school day i always looked forward to my favorite time of the day... Lunch time. My all time favorite lunch food would have to be taco day's on thursdays.  I always looked forward to thursday becuase i loved the school taco's. On taco day i would always try to leave class early to be the first one in line. I would always order a double lunch on taco day. I always got soft shell taco's because they were my favorite. Another one of my favorite lunch was also on thursday's. I also loved the school's spaghetti. Another amazing feature of spaghetti day is the big cookie 's. For just one dollar you can get a big cookie that comes every other thursday. I would also try to leave class early to get in line and get my lunch first. Even though the school had some good lunches there was still room to improved some of the meals. I believe that the worst school lunch had to be the chicken. Whenever, i get to school and i see that the school lunch is chicken it always make my day that much more worse. Another school lunch that i hate is the hot dogs. I dont think there isn't one school year in which i owed money becuase i would always buy a double lunch when i only had money to buy a lunch.  The reason i brought lunch some days is because the cost of lunch cost too much money and i never got enough food.  After experiencing the different foods i found out that school lunch wasn't that bad. After i graduate high school i will miss the food.

blog b: chioce Country Music

In life there is nothing more imprtant to me than my family and friends and music. Ever since i was little i remember going to concerts with my family. My favorite genre is country music. My favorite artist is Toby Keith. I love Toby Keith because i like how he supports the Troops and goes over sea's to sing for them. Toby Keith was born in Clinton, OK in 1961. He became a huge country star in the mid 1990's. My favoirte songs by him are Made in America, American Soldier, and courtesy of the red white and blue. When i started to listen to him when i was young i always wanted to see him live in concert. i will never forget going to his concerts at Darien lake Theme Park.  Another one of my favorite artist is Brad Paisley. This past summer Brad came to Darien lake along with another artist i like Blake Shelton. My favorite songs by Brad Paisley are Water, I'm gonna miss her, Little Moments like that, and Mud on the tires. Some of my favorite songs by Blake Shelton are Honey Bee, and The More i drink. Today in life, if there was no music life would be simple and plain. For me without music there would be no reason to enjoy life. Country music is the reason i am the way i am. My two idols for Country music have to be Justin Moore and Jason Aldean. Justin Moore was born in Poyen, Arkansas on March 30th, 1984. This past summer Justin  Mooore also came to Darine lake and i will never forget going to it. I am hoping that Jason Aldean comes to Buffalo next summer.  Jason Aldean was born in Macon, GA in 1997. Without the artist i just named my life would be boring and  it would be no reason to enjoy life. My favorite song is Barefoot Blue Jean Night by Jake Owen. There isnt a day that i dont go without listening to it.

greatest time of my life

There is one moment in my life that i will never forget. My favorite thing to do is watch and play hockey. my favorite NHL team is the Buffalo Sabres. The greatest moment in my life is going to the first outdoor hockey game in the United States. The Buffalo Sabres played the pittsburgh penguins which was held on the Bills field. I will never forget walking up on christmas morning and unwrapping the tickets. The day of the game was the greatest feeling in the world knowing that i was part of history in the making. This game was the first NHL hockey game that was held outdoors in the United States. Me and my dad woke up early to get ready for the game. We left our house early becuase we wanted to get to the parking lot for all the fiestvals that occured. As i look at all the pictures that day i think how blessed i was to be able to attended the game. I wont forget how cold that day was. I was way underdressed for the temperature. All i wore that day was my Thomas vanek jersey and jeans. While walking to our seats i remember walking through a puddle and the rest of the day my feet were froozen. I look back and remember how much me and my dad had that day and going home and telling my mom what we did that day.  The worst part of the day was the fact that we lost in a shoot out to our rival sidney crosby. Disbite the lose i still had the time of my life and i will never forget that day. The following year while watching the next outdoor game and i remember that day so clear and there is nothing i would do to go to another outdoor game. The time of my life was the outdoor hockey game.

Seasons's come seasons go. My favorite seasons of the year would have to be winter . I love the winter seasons becuase of all the snow and preparations for christmas. Winter is my favoirte time of the year because i love driving down the road and seeing all the houses decorated. Winter is the perfect time of the year to bring whole communties and schools together to work together.  Another reason i love winter is becuase i love the snow. Ever since i was little i remember playing in the snow building forts. I also remember snowboarding and sledding. When i was little i always liked to go with my family sledding. I love the sense of freedom you get when flying down a steep hill. Winter is a time in my life when my family comes together to celebrate another year being together.  Another reason i love winter is because of my favorite holiday Christmas. Annually, my family goes together to cut down a christmas tree that we put in the living room. One thing that i look forward to is decorating the tree. My favorite day of winter is the 25th. I always love waking up in the moring and go running downstairs to see my family and all the girfts. Another major reason i love winter is becuase of the sports, hockey and football. My favorite teams are the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. I always will remember going to hockey and football games with my dad when i was little. The greatest times of my life is spent during winter when i get to see my family and spend time with them. Ever since i was little i always look forward to the cold weather and snow. I always like looking out my window and watching snow storms. I never really minded shoveling the snow of the driveway because i love to be outdoors.

One of the major attractions in todays world would be facebook. Millions of teens and adults use facebook as a way of meeting new people or simply staying in touch what people are doing. I currently use facebook and started a couple of years ago. I started because i wanted to go to a place where i can see what everyone is up to and what the plans were for today. I also started becuase i wanted to stay in touch with family and friends that moved and lived out of town.  Facebook has many pro's and con's. One positive feature of Fcebook is that you get to staty in touch with your family and friends that you dont get to see very often. Another positive feature of facebook is that it is a great way of meeting new friends. lastly, facebook is a great way of making plans and getting information fast. However, facebook does have its negitives including privacy.  First of all, people can see everything that you do and say on facebook. People have the option to go on your profile and look at everything you write and can see all of your photos. Another example of way facebook is not the greatest is because all of the drama. You log onto facebook and you will see people arguing and fighting. While facebook has it's up's and down's it i would reccomended it to my friends. There is alot of ways of having fun on facebook. One way of having fun on facebook is by playing all of the different games that are on facebook. One of the biggest games on facebook is Farmvile. Millions of people play this game so it is a great way of meeting new people. For the parents that are concerned with their children using faceook, there is a way of protecting your children by allowing only their friends to look at their facebook.

my Interests

After successfully completeing 11 years of school i began to realize all of the work that i accomplished. Countless numbers of essays and research papers began to flow throw my head. While i took the time to write i realized i loved to write about a couple subjects that were very close to me. Some topics that mean the most to me are writing about sports, music, family and friends. Whenever we got a project to write an essay that had any topic i more than often chose one of thoose topics that meant the most to me. First of all, i chose sports becuase i started playing sports when i was four years old. Sports have always been so close to me ever since i can remember. My favorite sport to write about is either hockey or football. Whenever i write an essay about sports i tend to fly through writing it becuase i get so focused in it. Secondly, i feel comfortable writing about music because without music my life would be boring. Music is my escape to the issuses we face today.  Next, i would feel comfortable writing about friends and family becuase they are close to me and i can trust them. it would be easy for me to write about school spirit becuase i get the point of it very cleary. It is coming together as a whole to show their apprecaition for one another and a celebration for all the ups and downs the class faced. For the school paper i feel that my strongest topics that i would feel most comfortable talking about would be Sports and school spirtit activities.  When writing about topics that i dont like i tend not to get into to and not focus. After realizing all the papers i wrote it finnaly came clear to me that i write better when writing about topics i like.

12 Years of Glory

Well school has finally arrived and 12 years of hard work is coming to end. All the countless numbers of homework and studying is finnaly starting to pay off. Another key factor that will be coming to an end is getting up at 6 am everyday. I will never forgot going school shopping to prepare for the upcoming school year. As i look back at school i realize i have overcame many odds and accomplished something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I look back and would like to thank my parents for all they put up with. All of the fighting and arguing not wantimg to go to school or get up. As i remember all of my classes and my class mates i will never forget 8th grade. I wont forget 8th grade because all of my friends were in my classes. 8th grade was the most fun i had in school becuase my friends were with me. 8th grade was also my favorite because i was preparing to take the next step and move into high school. It was also fun becuase of the dance Mega bash. I know that threw out my school career i had my up's and down's but that only made me a better student. I look back and realize how much i matured and grew up.  One thing i will take away from High school is to make sure i pay attention and listen to what other people are saying. As school starts to come to an end i am going to miss all my friends and teachers that i will not see alot anymore. One thing from from school i will miss the most is playing sports.  I am going to miss all of the hard work and preparation for a game.  Even though my school career is fading away the memories will last a lifetime.

Hopefully my year consist of many laughs. i hope to get little trouble but i doubt that will happen becuase i am in Mr Currins class. This year i hope to accomplish all passing grades. I hope to pass all my classes with very little effort becuse i want to have as much fun as possible. I want to be able to look back in 20 years and remember all the fun i had senior year. I would like to get all of my homework and assignments in on time. I want to be able to have a good report card with good comments by the teachers. I would also like to get to school on time and not be late every other day. I want to have a senior years full of memories. I am expecting not to fall asleep in all my classes and i wanna pay attention most of the time this year. This year in english i want to be able to write better and read more. I would like to come out of high school a better reader and writter. I would also like to get student of the month in one of my classes. This year i would also like if i listened to my teachers more. I wanna walk out of high school a better listener. I would also like to hang out with all my friends whenever i want to and not get in troble for it. As the days go on the shorter amount of time i am here goes down and i would like to make it the best senior year as possible. Class of 2012.

accomplishments this year.

summer 2011

Summer 2011 sure did fly by in a hurry. I remember the last day off school everyone was so excited for Summer 2011. It was full of fun memories that will last a lifetime. Over the summer i worked at Darien Lake Theme Park. I worked as an Area Supervisor in Food Service. On my off days i liked to hang out with friends and go to concerts at Darien lake. Some of the concerts i attented were Brad Paisley, Rascall Flatts, and Toby Keith. Another hoby i had was riding fourwheelers. i love the outdoors so throughtout the summer i spent most of my time outdoors.  I also bought a truck over the Summer. I bought a Dodge Dakota 2003. Over the summer my family also went on an annual camping trip to Allegany State Park. We went on the Forth of July weekend. My family has been going to Allegany for almost 20 years. Over the summer i was lazy and did little work at my house. I sat on the couch all day and watched tv and played Xbox 360.  the one thing that i did alot during summer was sleep in late. my summer was mostly sleeping, working, and hanging out on my days off. my summer ended a couple weeks early becuase of Football practice. Most of my summer was spent getting ready for the upcoming football season. whether it working out or going for a run i spent alot of time preparing. Over the summer i ate alot of junk food that got me out of shape real fast. My favorite food to eat was pizza. There wasnt a week over summer i didnt eat pizza. As summer has ended i look back and realize that Summer 2011 is over and history so now i look forward to next summer. hopefully nexr summer i will learn from my mistakes and make Summer 2012 as good as 2011. Summer 2011 is now history.
