j4: My Life

For our next blog we were given the choice to write about whatever we want. I know of a lot of different topics I could talk about. I believe that this blog will be fairly easy because there is a lot I can talk about. I could talk about football and the super bowl, plans for after school, sports, foods, school, favorite person, and music. For this blog I think I am going to talk about my life right now. First of all, the biggest thing that happened to me was finally hearing back from GCC and getting accepted.  I am ready to move on from high school and start a new pathway in life as I move onto college.  I am ready to set up a future for myself and ready to get a college degree. I plan on going to GCC for business. I want to get a two year degree in business because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do and I know that my sister took the same course. My sister said she will help me because she already took those classes and did really good in them. Another thing that is going on in my life right now is hockey. I been playing hockey since I was four years old and I only have a few weeks left in my career. The closer my career is coming to an end the more I don’t want it to. Hockey has always been a big part in my life and I don’t know what I would do without it. I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of my life in the past weeks as there really made my life an adventure. My life is really going in the right direction right now and I want to keep it going the same way.

j3: Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr.

For our next blog we have to talk about our favorite Artist or band. Throughout my 17 years of being alive I have been exposed to many different kinds of music and artists. I found out that my favorite type of music would have to be rap. I really love listening to all the different rappers and loved finding new songs. There is one rapper that I always listen to and will always listen to. He is the icon for rap music and will always be. He is consider the greatest rapper alive because his songs really set him apart from the rest of the game.  His name is Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. or better known by his stage name Lil Wayne. To me he is more than just a rapper he is an idol and a hero. I started listening to him a couple years ago and I haven’t stopped listening to him. I always like trying to find new songs with him in it. There isn’t a day in my life that I don’t go without listening to him. Listening to him just makes my day go by faster and smoother. Lil Wayne has been through a lot in his life as he is battling against drugs and different things. He recently came out with a new cd called Carter IV. I bought the cd the day it came out and I haven’t stopped listening to it since. Lil Wayne is consider my hero because whatever situation he is put in he always comes out on top. He raps with confidence and acts like he is the best therefore I think he is the best. I don’t think that there is no other rapper who could do what he has in the past years. Lil Wayne will always be my favorite artist.

j2: Mrs. Hartman

Throughout my 12 years of school I had many teachers both good and bad. I know that teachers put in a lot of work to make sure that their students do the best that they can. I know that my early teachers from kindergarten to 5th grade really put in hard work to make sure I was able to succeed in the future. I give a lot of credit for them teachers because I know they have a lot to put up with.  They have to deal with a lot of little kids running around and not listening. To be a teacher for young kids has to have a lot of stress so it takes a special kind of person to be a teacher. I had many different teachers when I was young but there was one that I really enjoyed the most.  This teacher really helped me succeed the most in her class and I am thankful for her.  She was my 4th grade teacher and her name was Mrs. Hartman. To me she was the nicest teacher that I ever had. She would always make sure that I did the best that I could and always made sure my work got done and was complete.  She was always the nicest teacher to me and really appreciated her for it. Whenever I run into her in town I always remember being in class and all of the fun memories in her class. I really owe her a lot as she is one of the biggest reasons I passed 4th grade and moved onto 5th grade. I really tried to make sure my work was always done in her class because she was so nice to me. I would like to take this time to thank Mrs. Hartman and wish her the best in life.

j1- Hero

For our next blog we have to talk about a hero. The definition of hero can be interpreted in many different ways. To me a hero is someone who goes out of their way and does something that really sparks the interest of others in a positive way. A hero can teach you something, can save you from something, and could change someone’s life. Throughout my life I was exposed to many potential heroes. Some of my heroes’ would be anyone in the military, my favorite athletes, family and friends. One hero that means the most to me would be my mother. My mother has always been there for me and I know she will always be. Throughout my 17 years of being alive my mom has always made sure I was alright. Ever since I was little my mother always made sure that I was up and ready at the start of the day. I was always ready for the day to start and always ready to go to school. Without my mother I don’t think I would have done well in school. My mom always made sure that my grades were as good as they can be. My mom would always try and push me to do my best in whatever I do.  Her policy was to do the best you can in whatever you do.  I know I wouldn’t be so successful in life without her.  I am very thankful for everything my mom does and I am happy that I have her in my life. My mom will always put herself second to make sure that her family is well. To me my mother is a hero in my life and will always be. I want to thank my mom for everything she does for me.

About Me

For our next blog we were given the choice in what we wanted to do so I am going to talk about my life and everything about me. Well to first start of I am 17 years old and currently a senior at Alden High School. My plans for after High school are to go to GCC for business. I played football and football for most of my life. My favorite sports teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers, Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, and the New York Yankees. My favorite things to do in my free time would be to hang out with friends, play Xbox, and watch movies. My favorite TV show is Jersey Shore, ESPN, and Man vs. Wild. I currently work at Darien Lake in food service. My favorite type of music is anything but I enjoy rap. My favorite artist would be Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, and Big Sean. I am blessed for everything that has happened to me these past years and I am very happy with life right now. I am thankful for everything that I have because I know that people don’t have anything and life is a drag to them. I am happy that I have food on my table each and every night because I know throughout the world that there are some families that don’t get to eat. I am also really thankful for our military because I know that our troops give up everything they have to protect us.  Next thing I am going to talk about is school. I really don’t like going to school because it is not of any interest to me and I don’t like doing any of the work.  Well now that you know more about me I am excited to finish school and move on in life.

School Break

Well one thing that I always look forward to each school year is Christmas break. I know that many people always look forward to the holidays because of the break. I work so hard during school so a break is well needed. I am constantly doing a lot of work and studying for all my classes so over break I don’t even think about school. I always take holiday break as a time to relax and enjoy everything that happens to me and my family. Well as break got closer the more I looked forward to no school and the days got longer and school seemed to drag along. When the last bell went of it was the best feeling I got because I know I got week of so I can enjoy it the way I want to. This year’s break was successful because I had a lot of fun and got a lot of gifts from my family and friends. The different things I did over break was hang out with my friends that I could normally not do because I am busy with all my work.  Another thing that I did over break was watch a lot of sports and played Xbox with friends. I had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories that I wouldn’t forget. I was hardly at my house and rarely slept in my own bed. The one thing that I loved about break was that the weather was nice and I didn’t snow. It was nice that it didn’t snow because I could do stuff outside and not be stuck inside all day. The one thing I did over break that I have to change was eating a lot of junk food. This break was one the better breaks in my opinion.

Bucket List

Today many people spend too much time wishing they could accomplish something they want. There are a lot of different things that people want to do before they die. This is what you call a bucket list. The next blog that the class will do is about a bucket list. We have to big three things that we want to do as a bucket list. I thought long and hard of what three things that I wanted to add to my bucket list. The three things that I decided to add was too stand on the sideline for the super bowl.  Ever since I remember I always watched the super bowl and loved watching it. The super bowl is huge in American and millions of people watch it. It is a huge party and everyone likes to have fun.  To me football is more than just a sport it is everything to me. I love watching football so adding it to my bucket list was a must. My second thing that I decided to add to my bucket list was to travel the world in a hot air balloon. To me flying is a sense of freedom and there is no way to describe the feeling.  I think it would be the happiest I ever been because I would have so much time to think about everything that happened to me and the view of the different landscapes would be a sight to see. The third thing I added to my bucket list was to drop the game puck at the Stanley cup finals. I want to do this because ever since I was little I been around hockey. I played hockey since I was four and I remember watching all the NHL games. To me hockey is my life and dropping the puck would be a blessing. There are many things I want to do before I die.

2012

Well it is the start of a new year so I would like to change something and make a new resolution. My resolution is to try and do better in school. I want to do this because it is my last year of high school and I want to do as good as I can. I would also like to prepare for college as best as I can.  I would like to make sure I prepare for all the work I will be getting in college.  My previous New Year resolutions were nothing about school and I didn’t even think about making anything that had to do with school. I want to focus all my attention on improving my grades and getting better reports from my teacher. I want to do this as my resolution because I know that it is my senior year and that’s when most peoples grades start to slip so I want to be different and improve my grades. Towards the end of 2011 my grades started to slip because I was looking forward to the long break and not doing any homework.  I am sure my parents would be happy with my New Year’s resolution. I believe receiving better grades will help me out in life and give me another reason why I will be successful.  If I do increase my grades I think it will be easier to get a good job that has good benefits. It is my goal for the year 2012 to pay more attention in school and try 110 percent. I believe if I do accomplish this I could accomplish anything I put all my work into.  My 2011 new year’s resolution didn’t last long however I fell different about my 2012 new year’s resolution.  2012 will be make or break my future.
